all dolled up

hi friends,
while i don’t don girly glam everyday outfits, when the occasional fancy fete invites come my way, i find every excuse to indulge in my inner glamour girl. and in my very overstuffed closet, a rack of dazzling dresses sits, waiting patiently for their turn to pain the town red.
so when my eyes fell upon these magnificent photos of miss anne hathaway, grand visions of a great gatsby-meets-breakfast-at-tiffany’s cocktail soiree filled my mind! and since an equally fabulous affair is not around the corner, i’ll just pop a bottle of bubbles and play dress up at home….

These images of her are amazing, they’re making me seriously rethink my halloween costume, I want to wear something that establishes that classic timeless grace…

p.s. Mind if I put some of these on my tumblr? Will provide the appropriate links, of course.

And as for that fête, I’ve been on the hunt for weeks for the perfect bar cart/tray for just such an evening! We could all dress up!

Anne Hathaway is one of my favorite actresses, and this shoot is so magical! As for dressing up, auditions, performances and recitals all require you look your best, so I have some pretty fantastic dresses hiding in my closet! John loves my red silk polka dot from DvF, but I adore this heavenly black one-shouldered column with a modern bustle detail from Armani-oh, how I wish I could wear them everyday!

I love these photos..she is so gorgeous! I wish I could be girly glam every day…I take every opportunity to dress up more than necessary. LBDs for family gatherings..sequin dresses for parties at friends’ houses. Or even just a sky high pair of heels to dress up jeans and a blouse!

Anne is so lovely in these photos! I’m really impressed that Vogue has done an interesting editorial with an actress…they are too few and far between!
