Have you ever tried grocery shopping with a toddler? On a Saturday? Or after work? It’s like walking a overactive Pomeranian pup without a leash. What used to be a leisurely stroll through market aisles, discovering new seasonal fruits and veggies to cook with, or chatting with the neighborhood fish counter manager about his fresh catch of the day, has morphed into a turbo round of supermarket sweep. And as much as I love to buy everything online, I still love physically shopping in stores, but i needed to fid the best shopping apps for moms to help me make this new shopping adventure, with almost 4 year old T, more efficient and (almost) stress-free.
I did some research online and read all kinds of reviews in the App Store before i decided to download Flipp App. There are 4 reasons Flipp App stood out to me from all the other shopping apps:
Best Shopping Apps for Moms
No. 1: Shopping List Upload lets you take a photo of your handwritten shopping list (i still do this!) and the app uploads your written list and turns it into a digital list in the app. MAGIC.

No. 2: Family Sharing feature allows me and the hubs to share our shopping lists with each other so we can easily divide and conquer on the shopping front, instead of sending 30 text messages back and forth while one of us shops.
No. 3: Local Deals are found for all the items on your shopping list = small savings that add up to major ones. During our first shopping trip using Flipp App, we saved almost $30 with the local store deals happening that day.

No. 4: Store Mode tells me what aisle i can find each item on my shopping list, helping me plan my in store shopping route efficiently while T attempts to lure me into the goldfish cracker aisle. This may sound like a minor feature, but for me, it’s major. Stores will rearrange their aisles and that totally messes with my shopping mojo. And craning your neck towards the ceiling to figure out where the heart shaped muffin pans and toddler Star Wars tees makes the shopping visit so much longer. We were able to cruise through the only aisles we needed to for our shopping list items, zipped over to the checkout line, and we were out of there in under 45 minutes. It was a shopping miracle.

After this first visit using Flipp App, i’m convinced I can’t do my in store shopping without it. Quick list upload, save money, and shop efficiently….with a kid? It’s everything a parent wishes for, and our shopping adventures are more fun and stress free because of it.
