FAB 5: FALL 70s STYLE

Fab 5: Fall 70s Style : Inspiration

Even though the weather gods are all about this Indian Summer, my Fall itch has me wishing for boot weather.  There are so many epic autumn fashion collections and trends that I’m ready to rock this season, I’m introducing this new “Fab 5” series to highlight a few faves and their wallet friendly version for us to snap up, guilt free.

This week’s Fab 5 features the fashion force of the 70s. It was a mega inspiration earlier this year and Fall 70s style will be just as epic — just ask Chloé, Jill Stuart, Burberry, and Altuzarra.

I love the long and lean looks of fall 70s style icons – Jane Birkin, Jerry Hall, Anita Pallenberg, Cher, Biba, to name a few – in their high-waist bell bottom denim, breezy blouses, and menswear inspired suits and coats. My 70s Style Book on Pinterest has me dreaming of my own fall 70s style and my ShopStyle wish lists get longer by the second.

And this drop dead, Bianca Jagger white tuxedo look is an immortal fashion all star in my book.

This week’s Fab 5 celebrates the best of Fall 70s style with modern day elements with an equally cool, sexy vibe. For my fellow ladies on-the-go and my working mamas, these pieces are comfy, uber versatile, and kid tested. And I’m OBSESSED with those serpent earrings.

Ugh, our weather gods have been absolutely evil! Haha! It’s still in the 90’s in Houston. I LOOOOVE those flared jeans; hope to snag some soon!

Great style inspiration, I am in love with that trench.
I’m kicking myself for getting rid of my flares in a closet purge! If only I had endless closet storage space…

I’m so glad flares are back. I wear them all the time regardless if they’re “in” or not haha.

My mom got married in the white go go boots of the 70’s. I wish she’d kept them. I actually wanted them as a teenager but they were already long gone. The boots are about the only thing I, personally, liked about 70’s fashion. Something about bell bottoms I just can’t get past….I know they are trendy and come in and out of fashion, maybe it’s because I”m short so they drag on the ground too much LOL

Hi! Great fashion spread. I just bought two pairs of high waisted flares. Such a great leg lengthener! Thanks for sharing and I hope you are doing well! Warmly, Tres
