golden glam

while it’s chilly and still outside, my antidote to the holiday hangover is the red carpet. the colorful cloth that beckons the most beautiful people, clothing, jewelry and everything in between for one magical night, as the world watches.
thank god, award show season has thankfully begun.
as the golden globes are glittering on my telly, sleek tuxedos and glamourous gowns dotting each table, i had a entertaining thought…
if i were invited to an award show, what would i wear?
such a simple question with a complicated answer. classic? bombshell? flirty? trendsetter? long or short? black or not-black? and the accessories?!

my instincts would lead me to hunt for the perfect vintage piece synonymous with me. and that’s why fabulous celebs have stylists and a team of assistants to search the earth for such items. and since i am without such luxuries, i’ll select my award show outfit from the lovely spring 2009 collections.
classic elegance:
{monique llhulier’s airy ensemble}

fierce & flirty:

{marchesa’s sleek & shimmer strapless}
{gucci’s wisteria one shoulder silhouette}

the bombshell:
{l’wren scott’s bardot inspired glamour gown}
the trendsetter:
{marchesa’s hand-beaded sweetheart silk frock}
and the best bits of the ensemble – shoes! baubles! accessories galore…..
{louboutin, louboutin & guiseppe zanotti}
{louboutin’s crystal clutch}
{h stern & diamonds in the rough baubles}

for hair & makeup, i’ll highlight my favorites of this evening in tomorrow’s post awards recap.
well that covers my red carpet outfits. who would you be wearing?
and the award goes to…..
