JUST LIKE HEAVEN: THE PERFECT BED

The Perfect Bed by Sylvie in the Sky

our little piece of heaven a.k.a our bed

I was struck with a mean cold virus this week. Praise everything I have a job that lets me work from home so I could rest more, and my husband’s assuming of more of the mama duties while i went to bed at 8 p.m every night.

When we’re under the weather, or in need of uninterrupted zzz’s, having the comfiest, coziest bed to crawl into is like heaven on earth. Cloud-like pillows, soft sheets, toasty blankets, a few eye candy pillows and a quality mattress that hugs us in all the right places are high on my perfect bed list.

We decided to invest in our W Hotel Latex Pillow Top Bed by Simmons after a decade of cheap mattresses and achy muscles. There was a major sale online and we scored this mattress for 50% off! It is LITERALLY like sleeping on a cloud. The latex pillow top molds to our form and sleep style and doesn’t make us feel hot, like some memory foam beds do. We’ve had it for a few years now and it still feels as heavenly as the first night.

Here are a few more of our perfect bed faves below. We keep our eye out for flash sales on high quality bedding (Frette, Hotel Collection, etc) and throw blankets, as these items can get pricey at full price.

I love posts about bedding, and different ways people make their bed, etc. I’ve started using contrasting pillowcases like I Love Linen have. Just love them. Yours looks great too.

I try so hard, yet I’m so bad when it comes to interior design…I have all of the potential, but can’t put it together…Thanks for the tips!
