love + wishes + thanks: the neo-traditionalist

“i never think of myself as an icon. what is in other people’s minds is not in my mind. i just do my thing.”

it’s time for our final guest post f or our love + wishes + thanks series….and i am so thrilled to collaborate with her on this magical piece.
every now and then you come across a person who dances along the same wavelength as you. you share the same delights, dream the same dreams and your heart cheers for them as they arrive at fantastic milestones in their lives. they sparkle….and add a little shine in our lives, too.
our guest blogger is one of these people for yours truly. like my fellow blog friends that we’ve celebrated this past week, katie and i crossed paths one year ago and have been connected ever since. she is one of the biggest dreamers i know and fearlessly goes after each and every one. her blog, the neo-traditionalist, inspires oh-so-many of us, her etsy shop – katie armour home – celebrates the most divine vintage treasures…and her latest venture – with guest blogger jane of lox papers and fallon of  lovely being – is matchbook magazine, a dazzling display of everything we love, wish for and so much more.
here she is, a girl who always dreams in color….katie from the neo-traditionalist.

love.

to wear my cashmere socks on those magical winter days.
to sip hot cocoa with little marshmallows to keep myself warm
crackling fires and toasty brick hearths, my mom’s homemade cinnamon apple cake, strands of little white lights, nat king cole christmas carols…

wishes.

on the top of my wish list:
world peace, then a Valentine typewriter.

what i am wishing for others:
to be surrounded by friends and family.

my thanksgiving adventure:
my husband, pug and I will be driving down to my hometown on California’s central coast. I’m especially looking forward to turkey, family and a long walk on the beach.

and what i am oh-so-thankful for:
family, friends, my readers, my Matchbook Magazine team and of course, pumpkin pie.
