once upon a time…

“there is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again.”
– elizabeth lawrence
my shiny, happy little godson is turning 1 in three weeks – where has the year gone? i remember his arrival like it was yesterday and now he is a curious, laughing peanut who loves his toys. and for a boy who has everything, the art of gift giving can be a daunting task.
thank goodness for the clever, huggable plush toys by the wonderful sara carr. each animal is created with such love & care and make fantastic playmates! monty the sly fox is a personal favorite, but louis the striped donkey, sydney the hedgehog and kevin the rainbow caterpillar are just as awesome and together make the funkiest bunch!
for my thoughtful friends, what are your favorite presents for the little people {literally} in your life? what are the gifts they go bananas over?

here’s to the young at heart.

xo,

ps – remember to enter in this week’s loopy gold swirl earrings giveaway! come on, give it a whirl!

Those are absolutely adorable! I think your godson needs the fox : ) Unfortunately, I have no little ones to shop for, but if I did I think there would be a lot of Rikshaw Design purchases involved. My friends and I need to start popping out babies…

Cotton Sheep in SF has the most adorable booties, designed to look like little creatures. Parents love them and children are mesmerized by their magical tootsies!

So cute! I can only indulge my nephews in anything that makes NOISE! My sister dreads these gifts!
