press play: :"countdown" by 60s chic beyonce

“there’s ups and downs in this love;
got a lot to learn in this love…
through the good and the bad, still got love;
dedicated to the one i love…”

happy monday, kids!
this post will be short but full of sweet.
this past weekend i may have watched beyonce’s hot off the press, 60’s inspired music video, “countdown,” oh i don’t know…maybe 25 times? the terrific technicolors, marvelous mod styling and cool choreography reminded me of my favorite 60’s french film, “les parapluies de cherbourg,” {the umbrellas of cherbourg}. which translates to = i truly, madly, deeply adore.
every outfit is amazing…the primary hued leotards with bold striped sunhats, breezy oversized shirts in the prettiest pastels, superchic black with a dash of leopard and those dreamy dance class ensembles. heavenly all around.
and if that wasn’t enough? this colorful masterpiece was directed by tom petty’s visionary daughter, adria petty. bravo, girl.
i can’t think of a better way to kick of a new week than with this marvelous music video. it’s 3 minutes of pure delight….and it’ll be my go to groove all this week. πŸ™‚
friends, what was your favorite part of “countdown?” i’m dying to know!
