shell games

“one cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach.”

hello friends,

during last week’s shopping extravaganza {all for work, of course}, i was falling in love with everything in the home section of anthropologie when i saw it.

what did i see, you ask?
only the most amazing coffee book ever!
antoine joseph dezallier d’argenville’s “conchology & shells” book is an exquisite collection of illustrations of these creatures of the sea. brilliant colors and intricate drawings give this coffee table gem the same feeling of the famous {and my favorite} deyrolle prints.Β

i love it so much. who knows? it may be a guest piece at our beach wedding as well!

friends, what are your favorite coffee table books this season?

xo,
s
