Finding motivation to workout is hard, but it’s definitely easier when our gym is in our home! I’ve been really missing the dance studio, pilates studio, yoga studio, and gym these days, so I decided to make my own workout space at home. I know the list of necessities may seem overwhelming and expensive, but promise you there are lots of home workout products out there that are amazing and super budget friendly. Best Home Workout Equipment Under $50

Yoga mat

This has got to be my number one essential for home workouts. If you’re practicing yoga or just wanting extra support under your body as you workout, then a yoga mat will be your best friend. There are so many different styles, color options, and price ranges, so there’s definitely one out there for you.

Wireless headphones or a bluetooth speaker

Music is a must for me when it comes to working out, so I knew I needed to include this in my list of essentials. There are so many brands out there that are pricey, but it’s important to note that there are budget friendly alternatives. I love jamming to my music through a bluetooth speaker or wireless headphones when I work out and am always sure to sneak in a little dance break.

Foam roller

Definitely consider adding a foam roller to your home workout collection to help with muscle recovery, pain relief, and flexibility assistance. Foam rollers are great to use before and after every workout and will make your muscles feel amazing!

Water bottle

Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! This may seem like an obvious essential, but drinking water before, during, and after every workout is so important for your body. You’re working hard, so you need to reward your body with nutrients to fuel the work you’re putting in. Find a cute bottle that will make you want to drink more water throughout your workout.

Pull up bar

Another great piece of equipment to consider is a door hanging pull up bar. Not only do these not require any long-term installation, but they’re also perfect for pull ups, leg lifts, chin ups, and more.

Adjustable aerobic step

These steps are amazing for working out at home. I love the ones that are height adjustable because they allow for room to grow. Use these for squats, box jumps,, push ups, and literally anything else you could ever think to use it for. These things are incredible!

Dumbbells, medicine balls, and kettlebells… oh my!

Strength training is one of the best ways to tone up and lose fat, so I highly suggest looking into weights for your home workouts. My favorite kinds of weights to use are dumbbells, medicine balls, and kettlebells. There are so many amazing ways to use these kinds of weights that will have you crushing your workout routine. I really enjoy using weights throughout my workouts and found some great sets that come in different weight options and don’t take up too much space.

Ankle/wrist weights

A little weight goes a long way, trust me. If you’re not ready to invest in dumbbells or kettlebells, ankle/wrist weights may be the best option for you! They aren’t the cutest workout accessory ever, but they’re so effective. Even just 2.5lbs-5lbs will have your arms, legs, and abs burning!

Jump rope

I love getting in a little bit of cardio during every workout if I can. Jumping rope is one of my favorite ways to get my heart rate up before I start my workout. Try jumping rope for 10-12 minutes… you’ll thank me later.

Resistance bands

If you’re looking for ways to tone up your body, resistance bands might just be the way to go. They’re always super affordable and use your own body weight to push you through the workout. I find that resistance bands are great for stretching and strength training, among other things.

Stability ball

Using a stability balancing ball is a really amazing way to improve your workouts. You can literally use this ball for every part of your body and it feels so good. I find myself spending a ton of my ab routine on a stability ball and believe me, it’s killer.

Core Slider Discs

When I have a short workout window and want to feel the burn, core slider discs are my go to workout essential. There are so many awesome core slider disc workouts that can be done anywhere, which also makes it an awesome workout option when traveling – and did I mention that these are super affordable (there are options under $10!). Core, lower body, upper body – core slider disc exercises burn and strengthen every part of the body and is one of my favorite fierce workouts.
