BABY: WHY I BUY NATURAL WIDE NECK BABY BOTTLES

In Partnership with Baby Brezza

As a new Mom, there’s a lot that we learn in those first few weeks and months. Every baby is different, and what each one prefers for anything and every baby is never the same. Baby bottles is one of them – so many options, which one will my baby love? And when shopping for baby bottles, there are so many to choose from. Standard, Angle, Vented, Wide neck, Natural flow, Slow flow, Breast flow, Easy Latch, Anti-Colic, and so much more – how do we pick and try these with our new babies?

There are no hard and fast rules for baby bottle shopping. But after two rounds of babies and bottles in my life, I’ve learned a few things in our baby bottle journey and want to share the 5 reasons why we chose Natural Wide Neck baby bottles for both of our babies.

WHY I BUY NATURAL WIDE NECK BABY BOTTLES:

NATURAL LOOK & FEEL: Using a baby bottle with a wide neck and nipple designed to look and feel similar to the breast means a smoother transition from breastfeeding to bottle feeding. Both Theo and Olive easily moved from breast to bottle with this extra wide bottles and naturally designed bottle nipples.

ANTI-COLIC SYSTEM: Babies have a higher chance of colic when bottle feeding because of the greater amounts of air they swallow bottle feeding, compared to breastfeeding. But there has been so much innovation in bottle design to lower the risk of colic. Baby Brezza’s bottles have a TruFlo® Anti-Colic System so your baby swallows milk, not air.

BPA FREE: It’s a non negotiable for us if we have to go plastic.

GLASS OPTION: We use BPA free plastic bottles or silicone when we’re traveling or out and about. But at home, we prefer glass for a whole bunch of health related reasons. So the fact that Baby Brezza offers a glass baby bottle version of their Natural baby bottle makes this our #1 bottle at home.

THE EASIEST TO CLEAN: Have you ever cleaned a baby bottle? It might be one of the most annoying experiences, because despite how small they are, they typically have multiple small parts that need to be taken apart, washed separately, and reattached. Not fun, especially when you’re bone tired at the end of a long day. The Baby Brezza Natural Baby Bottle is hands down the easiest bottle I’ve ever had to clean, because it just has 2 parts. TWO. The top/nipple, and the bottle part that holds the milk. It may sound silly but I swear this is a majorly big deal for us when we were trying out bottles.

If you’re just starting your baby bottle shopping journey, I recommend giving the Baby Brezza Natural Baby Bottles a try. They come in a few colors, as well as BPA plastic or glass. Olive gives them two baby thumbs up!

My youngest had colic and it was so rough. Anything I could do to help from changing my diet to swapping bottles was so important.

  8. Thanks for the info! I exclusively breathed both of my kids and my oldest went straight from the breast to a cup, but my one year old barely drinks from a cup or bottle. I’ll havd to try this kind. I’m so ready for a break now and then! Lol

We used wide neck bottles for our youngest two daughters! I definitely preferred those to the bottles we used for our oldest. We used the Dr. Brown’s bottles that had the long tube-like insert. Those things were tough to clean!

I think it is great that there’s products that try and mimic the breast as closely as possible. It makes sense that that shape would be best for baby and ideal for those expressing.

These bottles sound amazing! I wish these were available when my kiddos were still babies. I hate it when they are little and hurting so much from gas.
