my fellow bookworms, do you share my dreams of having a grand library to call your own? i’ve been happily getting lost in libraries and bookshops my whole life. they are my safe haven, my refuge from those not-so-good-days as i’m whisked away to a far off land full of magic and adventure 🙂
i nearly fell off my chair when i stumbled upon this technicolor library! i can’t stop thinking about it and have put it at the top of my home decor project list for this winter. the thought of color banking our books {we have sooooo many!} makes me proud to be a bookworm! and it also gives me an excuse to wander down the street to my favorite neighborhood bookshop to pick up some new reads for our humble little abode. 🙂
friends, what little projects are you dreaming up this season?Â

I love love love books. We have a family library but it is filled with lots of antique books, books who’s pages have turned yellow and is just soooo dusty. I want to update the family library, having something as colorful and as big as this is such a dream!
this is my dream! i love that pug. i just organized my books in this manner and it looks so polished – i highly recommend it! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by An Urban Cottage; happy you enjoy it. I’m a fan of your blog too! In fact, I’m adding you to my blog roll as I think my friends will enjoy it as well :)!

P.S. In love with this library. I want to hibernate here when the cold Chicago winter comes … amazing!
Oh Wow! This is totally blowing my mind away! I need to color code my books! What an Awesome idea!!! 🙂 You wouldn’t mind if I save this image, would you? It is totally AMAZING!!!
That has to be one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen!!
I do like the idea of color-coding my books!
My plan so far has been to book-wrap them all in black paper.
Have you ever seen this library: http://www.wired.com/techbiz/people/magazine/16-10/ff_walker?currentPage=all ?

OH MY GOODNESS! I’m just adoring this! How fabulous!
I’ve always dreamed of a rich wooden library and a sea of books for me to get lost in! Dreamy!

This library is lovely!! Someday I want a room where three walls are covered in books and the fourth is all windows. A perfect library/reading room! I’ve had my books organized by color..now they are arranged by subject!
