” i find it hard to believe you don’t know the beauty you are.
but if you don’t, let me be your eyes”

this week at work i’m a participant in a fantastic creative summit where the goal to is to connect, be inspired by others and unlock our creative spirits. it’s been nothing short of extraordinary so far as we’ve met and heard the colorful stories of a handful of artists, played with clay and conquered the frightening improv stage….while munching on caramel corn and gummi bears in between. 🙂
and before i dash off to start today’s creative adventure, i wanted to share with you the exquisite and innovative music of one of the brilliant artists we met yesterday, bay area based cellist and composer zoe keating
. oh but friends, but she’s no ordinary cellist. zoe’s avant-garde approach has led her to create multi layers of sound with her cello and laptop which blend together into the most breathtaking music i’ve ever heard. and did i mention she does all of this live
one of my favorite pieces of the performance was the song she wrote for her son before he was born, titled “optimist,” as she explained, “choosing to bring a new life into this world is the ultimate expression of optimism.” amazing.
and this is my gift to you today.
please, take a few minutes to close your eyes and listen to zoe’s magical music. you’ll heart will soar and you’ll look at the world with a whole new set of eyes.
here’s to the beautiful creators in the world.
