while the leaves are turning gold and floating to the ground, i’m still hopeful for a stretch of indian summer on both coasts! it is super sunny here in the city by the bay and according to weather.com, next week’s 7-day work trip to nyc will be boasting 70-80 degree sunshine. so as much as i am yearning to rock my favorite fall boots, tights and yummy sweaters, i’ll settle for a heatwave, gelato and a deeper tan.
before i jet off to the east, rob & i are looking forward to sipping our favorite indian-inspired libations at dosa with our awesome friends and checking out the buzz-worthy ben affleck and the rest of the who’s who film, “the town.” and during the lounging hours of the day, i’ll replay the brilliant arcade fire + google “the wilderness downtown” experience {for the zillionth time}, because i’ve been in a nostalgic kind of mood. and to end the weekend? a best friends brunch & some good old fashioned family time….because home is where the heart is.
what are you looking forward to on our few days off? a heavenly brunch date? some fantastic fall shopping? cat naps and ice cream?
whatever it may be, here’s to a endless weekend…

We spent the weekend with family, celebrating a beautiful couple’s wedding! When Sunday night finally rolled around and we could relax with an episode of Mad Men, I was in heaven!
Have fun in NYC. I miss movies in the theatre! (Mommy-hood)
