it’s one of those mad dash days. this week has been overflowing with work mania – we’re finishing up our spring ’11 collection and the pre-fall product just hit stores – which equals looong, frenetic days and nights. oof!
during this zany times, i usually have enough time to throw on my fail safe outfit – skinny denim, tri-blend tee, cashmere boyfriend cardigan and ballet flats. and if it’s chilly {typical for san francisco}, a parisian inspired woven scarf.
lately, though, i feel like the outfit has been lacking some sort of j’ne sais quoi. so, to remedy this, i have unearthed my collection of drop and chandelier earrings. small in size but big in glamour, add one pair of these statement pieces to an ensemble and voilà! instant chic.
and since i have fallen back in love with these beauties, i am on the hunt for some new bits to add to the group. here are a few of my current favorites…any pieces catch your eye?

I really like number one and five, especially with the outfit you described (which sounds really cute, by the way! It makes me wish it was cool here.) Lately I’ve been wearing anything to escape the heat, which includes a lot of sundresses in various prints and colors, with a pair of strappy sandals to go.
I’m drooling over pair #3! the color is so great! I’m going to be on a continueous hunt for chandelleir statement earings for my wedding. these are some great inspiration!
I’ve been wearing scrubs to the hospital practically every day for a month, so I’m definitely gravitating towards statement pieces when I do get a chance to dress up. Earrings are my favorite go to statement because they’re easily visible. These are all so beautiful- I’m especially loving the Isharya pair!
Lately, my statement piece has been remembering to wear makeup! 🙂 The life of a SAHM is NOT as glamorous as some say! Those earrings are gorgeous though, I might have to look into something like that.

just came across your blog it’s super cute. After seeing all those earrings I am totally hooked. If I had to pick-I would say # 5!
Oh, and I love that quote too. It really does seem as if it would be true.
