happy new year, everyone!!!
i hope everyone had a marvelous time ringing in 2011. we had a sublime dinner at one of our favorite restos, mission beach cafe, sipped bubbly and boogied alongside our funny friends and spent the last hour of 2010 on a rooftop watching the majestic fireworks light up the sky. and then 2011 arrived and the rain arrived along with it!

and like i do every year, i spent this week figuring out what i wanted to set my sights on for the next 365 days. sure, there’s our sweet wedding by the sea, but that’ll come and go by the end of april. and instead of vowing “to work out more” and “eat better,” i realized these ideas stemmed from a much bigger goal…
…to become the best version of myself.
with this resolution, i’ll be inspired to make the smarter, ambitious decisions instead of the convenient, lazy ones. i’m getting excited just thinking about it!
and to help prod me along this unpredictable year, i’ll be sprinkling my office walls and home inspiration board with a few of these uplifting prints – they’re terrific!

I like your blog header and titles. This one caught my eye. I definitely want to shape up this year and do much better in school and keep constantly blogging. How do you manage to keep up with all your busy planning and work and all?

I love these words to live by, and I’m delighted that you guys rang in 2011 in such a wonderful way! My words to live by this year, I think, will be “onward and upward”-I can’t wait to see what will happen!

Glad to be home and reading your blog again-will we finally meet Jan 7th?!
