press play: treasure island

“where there’s music and there’s people…who are young and alive…”
– the smiths

{treasure island at sunset}

music – in any & every shape and shade – never fails to make my heart beat a little faster and eyes shine a little brighter. it’s our antidote to those gray days. it’s the soundtrack of our wild adventures. and it connects us through sweet lyrics and even sweeter naturally, when a music festival rolls into our glittering city by the bay, it’s the happiest of days. and this past weekend’s picture perfect treasure island music festival was no was a slowed down version of outside lands….with a diy tent {we made friendship bracelets}, hula hoop dancers, a fantastic silent disco {everyone dances around wearing wireless headphones connected to the dj booth!} and an endless stretch of grass to lay, listen and soak in the sun.

beach house had us swaying in the sunset, explosions in the sky took us to the stars, friendly fires were dance fantastic & death cab for cutie filled the air with heavenly goodness.

and as a little memory of this magical sunday afternoon, i have this gift for you – a little mixtape of some of these sunny moments + a few current faves woven in between…

now it’s your turn – what’s on your mixtape this week?
