when it comes to love, it didn’t get any better than the eighties.

so, while i am en route to the wintery wonderland of nyc as we speak, i am kicking off the countdown to cupid’s holiday with a stellar eighties and indie infused mixtape to lighten your monday, charm your honey…and take you waaay back to the dreamy days of blane mcdonnagh, lloyd dobler and jake ryan. sigh.

jj – of course, bc you have awesome music taste. that is most likely going to be my wedding song. it was released when we first started dating & carries so much meaning for rob+me. i worship sade and am thrilled about her new album! we must discuss.
julia – music is the gift that keeps on giving…i’d be flattered if you wanted to share music 🙂
cafe fashionista – so happy to have found your blog too. i love that we share the same fondness for the mixtape 🙂

Ohmigosh I’m so glad I found your blog – I love this post! Just yesterday I did a piece about mix tapes on Cafe Fashionista, and I referenced Rob Sheffield throughout. I am incapable of resisting mix tapes – despite the fact that they came before my time!! 🙂
