Life is more fun when we’re whimsical.
For my recent hair appointment with the fabulous Tina from Cinta Salon, I wanted to break out of the regular ‘do. But I did zeroĀ research and had no ideas when I sat in the chair. “Let’s try something fun.” was all I said.
So we pulled up my Hair Play Pinterest Board for a little more inspiration. Something bold and a far cry from my current situation. And fun for the crisp and chilly fall and winter seasons.
Then weĀ found it.
Fall fringe, bold bangs, and a longer bob (lob). YES.
Bangs are awesome for a Fall Haircut. I’ve had bangs on and off since post college and I’ve loved them the most when I can bundle up in toasty sweaters, classy turtlenecks, and rad suede knee high boots. And some of my favorite style icons rock some serious fringe, like the lovely Jean Shrimpton. Kate Middleton’s new sleek haircut with mod-inspired bangs rocked the news this week, too.

Tina was thrilled. She loves it when I give her carte blanche on my mop. Snip, snip, snip, she worked her hair magic. And after an hour, the new fall haircut was done….and I loved it!
That’s yours truly, post gym shower, no makeup, no blow dry. This haircut is, hands down, the easiest to style in my history of hair. The bangsĀ make me feel kind of fabulous (and more polished) and I can still pull pack my hair in a ponytail or bun.
All of this, because I decided to just go with it. And because of Pinterest. And Tina.
For hair care, I have faves that help my new bangs cooperate, tame the frizzy flyaways, add a little oomph for date nights, and gloss, shine, with a lovely scent. Here are my trusty hair care tools and products for my new fall haircut.
