Back To School Toddler Boy Style x Sylvie in the Sky

For many families, this week means a whole new world of firsts. The first day of school is always a biggie – new backpacks, lunch boxes, teachers, classmates, activities, routines, and sometimes new schools. And my favorite part….back to school shopping.

Theo is now in the “2’s” class, sometimes known as Early Preschool. He brings a legit lunchbox (and that experience earned itself its own post – coming soon), practices sitting on the potty (!!), puts on his jacket and shoes, cleans up his play area (we’re working on this one), has the newfound freedom of “Free Play”, and just yesterday, was learning how to express his feelings. His vocabulary has exploded and can carry on legit conversations and loves to tell stories.

It’s wild to see Theo change before our eyes. He’s no longer my awesome baby. He’s my awesome little boy.

As for Back to School style for our very active toddler dude who is also growing like a weed, I like to invest in clothing items that are a breeze to mix and match in the midst of an already zany morning. On this day, blues, classic boat stripes, and a cool camo print were the winning combo and matched back to T’s favorite The Land of Nod Deep Sea Bedding. And below are a few of our current blue themed (and affordable) faves for little dudes everywhere.

What are some of your favorite Back to School style find this month? And any tips for a smooth transition to a new school year? I love hearing your awesome stories!

Here’s to a new chapter for our littles.

So cute. I love how you paired the blues. I especially love that whale pillowcase.

Adorable! I have three daughters and praying for a boy someday! My older two are in 6th and 3rd grade this year and with school dress code changes we have had such a hard time figuring out the right wardrobe! The schools are ao strict on what the kids can wear and with the hot weather it can get pretty frustrating. I’m ready for fall and winter when we’ll no longer have to make sure shorts go to knees or all shirts have sleeves 🙂 I love all the blue in your post and the mix and matching! So cute.

How cute and fun! They grow up so fast. I love the cute T’s. I’ll have to share with my brother so he can get some for his boys. They are about those ages and will love it. Great for kids as they go bak to school.

Oh I so remember when Mason moved up to the toddler class at his daycare/preschool! It was such a “big boy” step! So awesome. Love all of those clothing items above. Mason has to wear uniforms to school (bummer). Great pictures!

I love those overalls. My son, who will be 3 in October, starts school this year and I’m so excited to see him grow. I can’t wait to document the changes so that we can look back and see his growth.

Love his style! I found so many cute pieces at Carters and Osh Kosh this year as well! And Gap is our go-to for classic pieces:)
