true colors

“something about those bright colors…
would always make you feel better…”
– bright eyes

it’s officially the hour of wool, cashmere and all things tweed, but peeking at the photos from this week’s gap spring ’12 NYFW show makes me yearn for days in the sun. and while i lived through the creation of this very collection {as gap’s very own accessories buyer} seeing these fresh stripes, brights & california classics come to life this week makes my heart smile THIS BIG.

and for your friday viewing pleasure, here’s a peek of some of our spring darlings….

i’ve been crushing on this oxford since i first laid eyes on it…and starting in late december, it’ll be offered in an array of colors and gorgeous neutrals. oh, and did i mention that it’s only $49.95?  that way, we can buy two {or three} and not feel guilty. they’re charming and cheap – my two favorite things!

our brand has had quite the journey this past decade and for the first time in a long while, i can say, with pride, that we’re on our way home. and for those of us who haven’t stepped into a gap store since the days of the pocket tee, logo sweatshirt and khaki swing, i invite you to start off the new year with a trip to the brand that we all grew up with…
now it’s your turn, friends! what goodness has you counting down the days to spring? 🙂

I love that happy dress! 🙂
(it’s a pity that here in my country there are no Gap shops)

Gap has definitely come a long way. It must have been so fun for you to play a part in that! Also, it’s not even fall yet, and that striped maxi dress and those red espadrille wedges are making me anxious for next spring to come!

Ironically, I just posted about how refreshing black and white feels in the midst of the (gorgeous) color-blocking this season!

    xoxo, Bri
