“sunday clears away the rust of the whole week.”

fridays are always happy days.
they offer a sense of closure for those of us working the typical 9-to-5 and endless possibilities for those precious weekend days and nights. and every time friday rolls around, i can’t help but begin that day with a big, fat, smile 🙂
and while many of my pals are heading out of town for one last gasp of summer weather, rob & i will be playing around town with his brother and their adorable family as they leave the palm trees and sunshine of LA for a little bay area visit. i also cannot wait to curl up in a corner of our couch, with a pot of tea, and dive into my very tall pile of september issues. they have been calling my name for a few days!
what are the favorite things you plan on doing this weekend, friends? a last minute weekend jaunt? some fun in the sun? i look forward to hearing your stories!
and for some leisure reading, here are some of my favorite bits of the week.
here’s to a new chapter.

friends, your sweet thoughts and inspiring comments are the bright spot of my day. please make the jump, hang out and share what’s on your mind. 🙂
hope you’ve been having a good weekend so far, sylvie! xo
Tomorrow will be the first day in almost two months that I’ve had to myself. So what will I do? Absolutely nothing. Maybe read. Eat some really good bread and butter. Watch a movie. Paint my nails. Avoid social contact. That’s about it!
That ribbon shop is such an amazing find! I’m helping out a friend at her shop this weekend, so I’m envious of the time you’re going to spend curled up with the September issues!
