by the time thursdays roll around, my mind is racing off, dreaming up grand adventures of every shape and color 🙂
where shall we whisk off to this week?
inspired by my neverending adoration of miss jane austen’s magnificent tales, i have been imagining a weekend escape to the romantic english countryside of rowsley, just a hop & skip from the famed austen locales of chatsworth {hello mr. darcy!} and peak district.

and tucked inside this land of handsome manors, lush sprawling greenery and romance galore is a perfect inn that celebrates all things english – the peacock at rowsley.
{the peacock at rowsley}
it’s exterior has the charm of old england and the interior has the glamour of mid century. the cast of the most recent version of pride & prejudice as well as brilliant historic authors like henry wadsworth longfellow, called this inn home at one point in their lives…and i hope one day i do too! isn’t it marvelous?

now it’s your turn, my fellow jet setters! what far away land are you dreaming of this week?

These locations are so fantastic. I would die to visit them…
I adore Jane Austen! I would love to visit the haunts of her stories someday! My heart is always dreaming of Rome, my one true love! Piazzas, wine, and fabulous fountains around every corner : )
