“when the bold branches bid farewell to rainbow leaves – welcome wool sweaters.”
can i tell you a secret?
i am probably the world’s worst knitter. seriously.
but that hasn’t stopped my passionate love affair with knitwear. oh, sweaters! you keep me warm every day of the year in my chilly city by the bay. you are my cherry on top of every ensemble. and nothing makes me happier than when winter rolls around, so i can paint the town in my favorite chunky knit pieces.
but a little voice in my head has been trying to convince me to try knitting again, despite my multiple failed attempts. i’ve been gifted my fair share of knitting books and i have enough yarn to keep a small village warm!
and this year, i was just about to dismiss this idea again when i came across the most marvelous shop….
I myself am not tooo awful a knitter, though I was definitely moving too fast for my own good and got myself all knotted up. I suggest just looking at it as a relaxing exercise and maybe just knitting to knit and not to produce a wearable piece just yet. Thus far, I’ve only made a quarter of a scarf, lol… My favorite piece from W&tG is definitely lil joe, so cute!
How charming, how wooly, how chic! I have always been a sweater person (a whole trunk full of ’em is proof positive of my addiction), but I am a miserable knitter. I have one 3″ square I accomplished as a kid before I messed up, threw a temper tantrum and abandoned the practice altogether!

I love knit as well, it’s keeping me so warm here in london! That store looks amazing. Even if it wasn’t, the name alone is awesome.

I have long lamented the fact that I am a horrible knitter and sewer. I want so much to be good! Because, God, do I ever love knitwear.
I’d LOVE to be able to knit and several family members have tried to teach me. I’m just terrible. And I don’t have the patience!

How darling! I love the name and the cute products. I really like the vest in the first photo.
